About the Manyang Disability Foundation

Founded on the unshakeable belief that every person deserves to live with dignity and independence, our foundation operates at the crucial intersection of humanitarian care, practical mobility, and legal advocacy.

Our Journey & Roots

From Local Empathy to Global Action

The Manyang Disability Foundation was birthed from firsthand observations of the severe systemic disadvantages faced by persons with disabilities in developing regions, particularly across Sub-Saharan Africa. In areas where physical infrastructure is unforgiving, the lack of an assistive device can instantly mean isolation from schools, markets, and healthcare.

Inspired by the solidarity and community-driven ethics of our founders and partners—including international scholars, humanitarians, and grassroots activists—we set out to eliminate these barriers. We recognize that true liberation is not merely the absence of pity, but the dynamic provision of real tools: sturdy wheelchairs, surgical interventions, inclusive classrooms, and micro-loans.

Today, our global network partners directly with biomedical workshops, physical therapists, and local community elders to deliver tailored assistance without multi-layered bureaucratic hurdles.
